Alan Davis - Jane Ryan - Andrew Huret ~ Trio Faronell

Trio Faronell was formed in 1992 and is now a firmly established ensemble
specialising in music of the 17th and early 18th centuries.

The combination of recorder, viol and lute creates a distinctive sonority
well suited to a range of baroque music.

Trio Faronell has performed extensively throughout Britain and Europe.
From time to time the group collaborates with singers and
other instrumentalists to perform larger scale works.

Alan Davis is well known as performer, teacher and composer for the recorder.
He has performed as a soloist and with many ensembles in both early and
contemporary music, and his compositions have been heard
in many parts of the world.

Jane Ryan has played a prominent and innovative role in the development
of viol playing in Britain. She has played with most of the leading
early music ensembles in this country, and through numerous recordings
and world-wide concert appearances as become acknowledged as
one of the foremost exponents of the viol.

Andrew Hurst performs as a soloist and as a member of many ensembles
in the UK, Europe and in the USA. He is active as a teacher of lute,
guitar and continuo playing in the UK and has taught at a number of
European summer schools.
